Sixth Grade Social Studies

The sixth grade social studies curriculum centers around ancient civilizations.  We study the Old Stone Age, New Stone Age, and the ancient civilizations of Egypt, Mesopotamia, the Indus River Valley, China, Greece, and Rome.  We finish the year studying the Middle Ages and the Renaissance.  Students will study the origins of Judaism, Christianity, Buddhism, and Hinduism and learn how they relate to the history of our world.  Geography, current events, and DBQ's round out the curriculum.
